CCRI(II)/13-04 Report of the NIST Radioactivity Group to CCRI Section II
نویسنده
چکیده
This report is intended to be an overview of the activities of the Radioactivity Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for the meeting of Section I (x and gamma rays, charged particles) of the Consultative Committee on Ionizing Radiation (CCRI), March 26-28, 2013. Since the last meeting of CCRI(II), a reorganization of the Ionizing Radiation Division has taken place, whereby it has been renamed the Radiation and Biomolecular Physics Division and is comprised of three groups: Dosimetry, Radioactivity, and Neutron Physics.

Recent Dosimetry Activities at the NIST
The following is intended as a general overview of activities by the Radiation Interaction and Dosimetry Group, Ionizing Radiation Division, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), USA, for the meeting of Section I (X and γ rays, electrons) of the Consultative Committee on Ionizing Radiation (CCRI), May 13-15, 2009, Paris. The material was taken from information gathered for NIST...
متن کاملThe Promoter Structure Differentiation of a MYB Transcription Factor RLC1 Causes Red Leaf Coloration in Empire Red Leaf Cotton under Light
The red leaf coloration of Empire Red Leaf Cotton (ERLC) (Gossypium hirsutum L.), resulted from anthocyanin accumulation in light, is a well known dominant agricultural trait. However, the underpin molecular mechanism remains elusive. To explore this, we compared the molecular biological basis of anthocyanin accumulation in both ERLC and the green leaf cotton variety CCRI 24 (Gossypium hirsutum...
متن کاملComplete Genome Sequence of Moraxella catarrhalis Strain CCRI-195ME, Isolated from the Middle Ear
Moraxella catarrhalis is an important bacterial pathogen that causes otitis media and exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of M. catarrhalis strain CCRI-195ME, which contains the phase-variable epigenetic regulator ModM3.
متن کاملEffect of Drought Stress on Lipid Peroxidation and Proline Content in Cotton Root
Oxidative damage and antioxidant responses were compared in two cotton cultivars: drought-resistant (CCRI-60) and drought-sensitive (CCRI-27). Cotton seedlings were subjected to PEG-6000 solutions with two different osmotic potentials, and changes in the antioxidant enzyme activities were investigated. Increasing PEG concentration reduced root length and vigor, increased H2O2, malondialdehyde (...
متن کاملCharacterization of a Tn5382-like transposon containing the vanB2 gene cluster in a Clostridium strain isolated from human faeces.
OBJECTIVES During a hospital surveillance programme to detect VRE carriers, an anaerobic vancomycin-resistant bacterial strain CCRI-9842 containing a vanB gene was isolated from a human faecal specimen. In this study, we have characterized this strain and its vanB-containing element. METHODS Strain CCRI-9842 was characterized by 16S rDNA sequencing and susceptibility testing. PCR mapping and ...
